Although the Advansys supplied driver uses a virtual addresses in a 32bit
field as the mechanism to map between a transaction on the board and a
transaction passed into the driver, there is no requirement to do this.
The FreeBSD driver has used a relative address that will never approach
this limit for some time now. I even told the guy at Advansys that they
should not rely on this assumption, but nothing came of it. Anyway,
this is not a hard problem to solve.
