Yes, this works, thanks.

Procedure:

When sysinst displays its first screen, choose "Exit Install System"  This
give the "# " prompt.

Type in "mount /dev/md0 /" then "exit"; you're back at the sysinst screen
as before.

Then, continue on normally.
