I didn't get that card to work too. The FreeBSD 'vx' driver works with it
fine. There must be something subtle in the initialiaziation of the card
that doesn't let it activate its port (the light on the HUB does not turn
on).

I think I filed a PR about this quite some time ago. I had some
conversations about the problem but noone with hardware docs stepped forward
to give definitive answers yet.
