Practically any difference between the two will make one of them better
than the other - for some applications.  (And the other better than the
one, for a different set of applications.)

Ten seconds' thought on Microsoft's products and their ad campaigns
should convince anyone of *that*.  (At least, anyone who hasn't bought
into the "Microsoft is your friend, trust Microsoft" mentality, and
such people are probably already lost to NetBSD and other freeware,
such as, say, Linux.)
