I have a Megahertz XJ10BC PCMCIA Ethernet card in my laptop, and seem to be
running into some problems getting it working with NetBSD/i386. When I go
to activate the sm1 interface with ifconfig, it says "pcmcia1: card irq 11"
(in green) and locks the system up!

I ran into the same problem booted from the installation floppy, trying to
do a network install. It picked a different IRQ at the time (and I also
tried the bit in the installation documentation to mask that IRQ out so it
picked another), but it still locked up.

It seems to identify the card properly:

  sm1 at pcmcia1 function 0 port 0x330-0x33f: Megahertz X-JACK Ethernet
  sm1: SMC91C94, revision 1

This is a fresh install of NetBSD 1.4.1.

Do you have any suggestions or want any more information?
