As of the recent release 16.1 of CVSup, native NetBSD binaries
for i386 are available on all FreeBSD ftp mirrors,
under /pub/FreeBSD/development/CVSup/binaries

CUI/GUI-X client:
cvsup-netbsd-ix86-aout-16.1.tar.gz

CUI only:
cvsup.nogui-netbsd-ix86-aout-16.1.tar.gz

CVSupd - server:
cvsupd-netbsd-ix86-aout-16.1.tar.gz

Please note that FreeBSDers are in the midst of a new release,
so ftp servers may be busier than normal just now.

Here's a sample cvsup config file. It is set to follow the
1.4-release branch, retrieve basesrc, and store it in
/usr/files/cvsupd, with 'logs' in /usr/local/etc/cvsup.

    *default host=cvsup.de.freebsd.org 
    *default tag=netbsd-1-4-RELEASE
    *default prefix=/usr/files/cvsuped
    *default base=/usr/local/etc/cvsup
    *default release=cvs delete use-rel-suffix compress

    netbsd-basesrc
