I recompiled the kernel last night.
I uncommmented the "options         compat_nomid" line.
This morning, I moved /netbsd to /netbsd.OLD
then I moved the new kernel to /netbsd
REDOOT

Works fine! I still have one Q:
Whats with this compat_nomid crap?! Cant I just specify
"OPTIONS    compat bsdi"  or something along those lines?
