I'm not completely sure, but it should be possible to
type in "boot -a" at the bootloader prompt, and set
the root device to "wd0" or whatever your harddist is
when the kernel asks.
This doesn't remove the ramdisk however, and compiling
a kernel with the remaining RAM could take some time...
