  How about a direct link to the packages page (in addition to
"Applications")?   Maybe call the link "Packages (prebuild and source)."  

  I'm not sure that "inc pkgsrc" is going to clue in any new users that
were not going to look there otherwise.  At the very least, make the
pkgsrc a link;  it is very bad style to tell someone to follow a link to
get to another link when it takes no additional space or effort to make
the link directly.
