8MB won't do it.  You'll need at least a pair of 4MB x 9's (4 + 4 + 1 +
1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1) = 14MB.  The only nice thing about the 'SX family is
that you can get away with using pairs of SIMMs instead of groups of 4.
