G'day all,
I've this MiroPCTV card stuck in my machine and thought that it
was time to become adventures and re-activate this gadget.
Not being a kernel hacker I've tried the obvious and got the kernel
to recognized my card - see below.
bktr0 at pci0 dev 18 function 0bktr0: interrupting at irq 9
bktr0: buffer size 3555328, addr 0x409000
bktr: GPIO is 0x00ff07ff
card signature
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00
Miro TV, Temic PAL tuner.
The actual devices were defined as
cr--r--r-- 1 root wheel 65, 0 Oct 17 00:42 /dev/bktr0
cr--r--r-- 1 root wheel 65, 16 Oct 17 00:42 /dev/tuner0
After this, I've built fxtv-1.00 which compiled without problems.
Now, everytime when trying to run this program the following message is
printed to the console:
hotdog# fxtv
mmap of driver buffer failed: Invalid argument
ktrace reveals the following:
345 fxtv RET read 32/0x20
345 fxtv CALL open(0xefbfd794,0,0xefbfd744)
345 fxtv NAMI "/dev/bktr0"
345 fxtv RET open 4
345 fxtv CALL open(0xefbfd744,0,0x72400)
345 fxtv NAMI "/dev/tuner0"
345 fxtv RET open 5
345 fxtv CALL ioctl(0x5,_IOW('x',0x2e,0x4),0xefbfd724)
345 fxtv RET ioctl 0
345 fxtv CALL mmap(0,0x1b0000,0x1,0x1,0x4,0,0,0)
345 fxtv RET mmap -1 errno 22 Invalid argument
345 fxtv CALL __fstat13(0x1,0xefbfd440)
345 fxtv RET __fstat13 0
345 fxtv CALL break(0xaaffc)
345 fxtv RET break 0
Its getting late and I am running out of ideas on how to tackle this
problem. Which strategies can I use to find out whats going wrong
here?
I apreciate any help and advice on how to continue from here.
Sysinfo: NetBSD-1.4.1-i386, brooktree848.c version 1.85 19990612,
fxtv-1.00
Many thanks in advance
cheerio Berndt
