Subject: Plugins for Linux glibc2 Communicator 4.7 won't work!

Greetings:

With generous help from Matthias Scheler, I managed to get the Linux glibc2
[libc6] Communicator 4.7 to run under NetBSD 1.4.1, using the SuSE 6.1 Linux
emulation files from pkgsrc. :-)

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to run the plugins for this version of
Communicator (most, if not all, of which are build with glibc1 [libc5]).
For example, when I launch this Communicator with the Adobe Acrobat PDF
plugin I get:

ERROR: libc.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Cant load plugin /opt/netscape/communicator-linux-47/plugins/nppdf.so. Ignored.

and yet, /emul/linux/usr/i486-linux-libc5/ which contains libc.so.5 is in
the LD_LIBRARY_PATH before I launch Communicator. It looks like
/emul/linux/lib/libc.so.6, which is required to load for Communicator 4.7
prevents the loading of /emul/linux/usr/i486-linux-libc5/libc.so.5 required
for plugins.

Anyone been able to run glibc1 plugins, like Acrobat, in Linux glibc2
Communicator 4.7 under NetBSD? If so, any advice on what I should do?
I would suspect that those running the SuSE 6.1 Linux OS on their
computers would likely be able to runs these glibc1 plugins under the
glibc2 Communicator 4.7, so I am hoping that I can do the same under
NetBSD.

Alternatively, would anyone know where to get Linux glibc2 [libc6] ports
of Netscape plugins including Acrobat, XSwallow, Real Player 5.0, and
XAnim?

Sorry for bothering you again about this. I am most greatful for your
help. Sincerely, Alicia.
