What is the best procedure for upgrading from source? I ask so that I
don't have problems with ps and other such kernel-dependent utilities.

My thoughts on this are simply to make a new kernel first, then go to
/usr/src and doing a make world. If this is incorrect, can anyone tell me
the best way?

Thanks in advance,
