I am running NetBSD 1.3 on i386.  I am getting the following error message
in /var/log/messages:

^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P
^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P^P

etc....

It causes amd to die and causes nfs to hang and pretty much bring down
the system.

Any ideas?
