Another "me too..." I see it happen on a IBM ThinkPad 560E.
I am not usually bothered by this behavior because I normally leave X
with "halt -p".

Normally I'd avoid a "me too", but I run NetBSD/i386 on such a wide
variety of machines, I can't believe anyone is _NOT_ seeing these
symptoms. I can confirm it on:
XF86_SVGA (Neomagic and S3 Virge)
XF86_S3 (various old S3 cards)\
XF86_S3V
XF86_Mach64
and machines:
486/33, 486/66, 486/66 w/ Pentium overdrive 83MHz, Pentium 120, PPro
200,
Dell Lattitude CPi (PII/266).
It does not happen on mac68k or sparc.
A useful datapoint might be from someone who DOESN'T see this. The
above is with GENERIC, with "wscons=NO" in /etc/rc.conf.
