I'm looking to buy some 4-port ethernet cards for use in some 1.3.3 i386
   systems.  100baseT would be nice though it's not critical.  At some point I
   may need an ethernet firewall, so cards with good performance would be a
   bonus.  Can anyone recommend cards which have worked well for them?

I am very happy with my D-Link DFE-570TX.  Although, I have to admit that
I have not used all four ports at the same time and it hasn't seen
100Base-T yet.
