I didn't write the e-mail too well since I've had some questions that were
all basically the same.

This device plugs into your parallel port (must have an interrupt and BSD
driver) and gives you 8 RS232 serial ports each with a max speed of
115200bps.

When I said '(full speed)' after 19200, I meant that data was transfering
both ways at 19200bps solid.

I'm going to need some beta testers for a parallel to serial converter I'm
working on. Here are the specs:

-8 AT90S2313 3.6864 MIPS controller with a 128byte buffer for each serial port
-1 AT90S4414 7.2720 MIPS controller with a 64kbyte buffer for computer comm
-Each port has its own settings:
    Baud rate (1200/2400/4800/9600/14400/19200/2880/38400/57600/76800/115200)
    Hardware or software flow control
    More?

I'm working on 16 and 32 port version of this same thing. Please comment
on more features or different features I should add or change.

If you're interested in testing this hardware, it should be about $36 for 8
ports. I've tested all 8 ports to operate at 19200 (full speed) on a
386/20 with a cpu usage of 12%.

Thanks,
Grant
