Also noticed that various "helper" programs built and used during the
build process fail.  In particular:

	bin/sh/mkinit
	       mknodes
	       mksyntax
	usr.bin/tn3270/tools/mkhits
	                     mkastosc
	                     mkastods
	                     mkdstoas

All of these fail with ``word unexpected, expecting ")"'' messages when
they get executed.

Just manually build them with -static and you'll get past this.
