I had installed suse_libc5-6.1 (and all other suse_*) prior to installing
Quake2.  I had thoroughly rooted out the linux_* packages.

I assumed that the Quake2 installation script knew what it was doing; I
don't know which version it saw fit to install.

Yes.  I have also tried explicitly adding the /emul/linux prefix to the
config line: /emul/linux/usr/local/games/quake2

Since it's running under emulation, I _should_ be able to omit the
/emul/linux prefix and place the game (and/or the config file) either
relative to / or /emul/linux/, right?
