Does anyone know of an online machine/assembly language reference
document for Intel-architecture CPUs? Basically, what I'm looking for
is the doco I'd need to write an assembler/disassembler, plus a
description of the semantics of each instruction.

All I've found in print - so far, at least - locally is tutorial works
that (a) handhold far more than I can tolerate and (b) talk about
least-common-denominator machines, not discussing much beyond the 386.

As I'd both like it fairly soon and like softcopy ("you can't grep dead
trees"), something online would be ideal.
