I use both gv and xpdf.  Sometimes one displays a PDF file better than the 
other.

One bummer about xpdf 0.80, the one in the pkgsrc tree, is that it doesn't 
support encrypted PDF files.  I didn't know that until two days ago when I 
downloaded the Sony AIBO parody from the Onion.
