A preferrable solution would have been to set wscons=YES during
"sysinst" on the machines using wscons if a suitable graphics card
(VGA and some VAX monochome graphics afaik) is seen.
Now users will ask "how do I get these virtual consoles proposed
in the release notes".
Might be too much for a last minute patch however.
