tried all of these.   Still can't make it go.  Can't ping the name server.
I'm 100% sure the network drop is active (works under windows), also 100%
sure of the IP addresses involved.

I used to have a thinnet ethernet card in the machine and was able to
install NetBSD-1.3.2 with it, but now that card is gone and we have a
twisted pair network and I'm using the on board NIC.  I know it should
work with NetBSD because the machine still worked after switching
networks, but I just can't seem to reinstall now that my old disk is also
gone. 

I guess if all fails, I can burn a cd-rom and install that way, but ftp
installation _should_ work.

Any ideas?
