I have yet to finish the installation, but wanted to let you know that
the 1.3K snapshot looks like it does in fact work -- thanks!  I'll
include the install floppy printout below.

BTW in addition to the AMD spec previously mentioned, I also found this:

Which is some documentation on the AM{53,74}C974 driver for Linux,
although the last time I looked it wasn't officially supported by
RedHat.  Might have some additional tips.

Will let you know if I run into any suspicious problems with the rest
