Ah, I just posted a message about a hopefully suitable test
image.  The instructions for creating the image is currently
buried in comments in
/usr/src/distrib/i386/floppies/bootfloppy-big/Makefile (which I
just committed, so it'll take a day or two for it to show up in
SUP and FTP).
