The "network card" he's trying to use would be the builtin ethernet chip
on his Mac motherboard.  However, Virtual PC emulates a DEC 21x4x-based
ethernet card (I don't know if it has to emulate any particular glue logic,
so it might not be emulating a specific brand of DEC-based card).

The last time I tried NetBSD on VPC, the "card" was properly probed, it just
didn't work.  It's not likely to be a serious defect in Virtual PC, since I've
actually used some significant networking software on Virtual PC.
