I'm using netbsd 1.3.2 with the included pcvt (3.32) console-driver.
1. Is it right that I've to start xdm in daemon-mode to get the virtual
consoles?
2. If I do so, I've problems with my keyboard:
If I move the cursor against a border (so that the bell bell's) some
seconds and then take the finger from the key, the bell bells further and
further so that I have to do a reset. If I set the cursor with the mouse I can
see that there's a constant input of the arrow-key I used to move against the
border. If I run xdm in -nodaemon mode this problem disapeares (but the virtual
consoles are useless 'cause I can't login). This problem doesn't occur in the
console, only in X.

sincerely,
Jochen Schmidt
