Hello,
I'm in the process (long!) of installing NetBSD-current on a friend's
new Celeron 333 with a 12.7GB Quantum Fireball. Besides the fact that
sysinst truncates at 16383 cylinders, it seems that the IDE code is
having a problem with power management. All of the power management
stuff is disabled in the BIOS, yet the drive will spin down with a
noticeable "clunk", and then any access hangs with:
pciide0:0:0: lost interrupt
type: ata
c_bcount: 8192
c_skip: 0
And that is it. I don't understand why the drive spins down, perhaps
it is doing this on it's own? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
