This might not be a requirement any more, btw, if you are running with 
new bootblocks and a BIOS that handles INT13 extensions. You might
want to check...

There are a bunch of bugs with nullfs and unionfs right now. File PRs!
Hopefully we'll be able to get someone to clean up the issues in the
next couple of months.
