Greetings:

A friend of my experienced in servicing laptops managed to take apart my
new Fujitsu FMV-Biblo MCVIII23 hand held computer, and remove the hard
drive, which allowed me to install the lastest snapshot with NetBSD 1.3I
ix86. I also installed XFree86 3.3 with its NeoGraphics chipset support,
and built a kernel with working X and PCMCIA cards (ethernet, SCSI, etc.).
:-) Unfortunately I still can't get the internal 56 kbps V.90 modem or
USB ports to work.

I've compiled many different NetBSD 1.3I ix86 kernels with the universal
host controller and/or the open host controller support. Only the
universal host controller is detected, but it is detected with an error
stating that it cannot map the io space, and the actual USB bus is not
detected.

Below is an except from the kernel configuration I used with the USB stuff:

    # PCI USB controllers
uhci* at pci? # Universal Host Controller (Intel)
#ohci* at pci? # Open Host Controller

    # USB bus support
    usb* at uhci?
    #usb* at ohci?

And during boot, I get the following USB excerpt in my boot messages:

     uhci0 at pci0 dev 1 function 2: Intel 82371AB USB Host Controller
              (PIIX4) (rev. 0x01)
     uhci0: can't map i/o space

Also, the internal 56 kbps V.90 does not detect properly, even with PNP.
I get the following modem excerpt in my boot messages:

Rockwell Semiconductor Systems product 0x2015 (miscellaneous
              communications, revision 0x01) at pci0 dev 16 function 0
              not configured

I will try to get the modem details (irq, vector address, etc.) from
Fujitsu in Japan. Perhaps I can map the modem as a com port. I'm not
sure if it will work or what else I can do to get the USB and modem to
work.

Thank you in advance for any help. Sincerely, Alicia.

PS. I am using a PCIC_ISA_INTR_ALLOC_MASK of 0x8600 in order to prevent
NetBSD from assigning low (less than 9) irq values to the PCMCIA
cards. I can't seem to figure out what mask values correspond
to what blocked irq's. Is it some type of formula? If so what?

PPS. Here is a copy of the entire boot messages:
