While we're on the subject of virtual consoles.  I'm curious as to why NetBSD
uses CTRL-ALT-Fx to switch between consoles rather than ALT-Fx like FreeBSD
and Linux?

Looking thru the mailing list archives, I found F9-F12 are shortcuts for
ttyv0 - ttyv3.  Why not F1-F4 as shortcuts?

Is any of this configurable?
