It seems like something changed, and my kernel module now dies somewhere
around the lkm entry point.  I need to figure out why that happens.

Yeah, me too.  Someone _said_ they were going to do it, but they haven't,
so I guess someone else ought to step up to the plate.  I might once I
get my build environment straightened out.
