Look at ``rm'' and ``lp'' capabilities in printcap(5).
e.g. at home I've got a HP4000N on a 10Base2 network; from my
/etc/printcap (and obviously not using 1.1.1.1 as the printer IP)
hp4000n|network printer:\
:mx=10000:lp=:rm=1.1.1.1:sd=/var/spool/lpd:\
:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:af=/var/log/hp4000n:
and set env. var. PRINTER to ``hp4000n'' to use it.
