But that limitation is different in that there is no secondary partition
table available, so this is a hard limit.  (Well, actually you could do
something similar to extended partitions, namely generate a vnd device on
one partition and disklabel that).

Someone should really implement something similar to the wedging scheme
Charles proposed a while ago.
