It's also available in pkgsrc, for example.
As far as I know it supports a lot of 16 bit Win 3.x apps (as MS Office
for Win 3.1 or so), but also more and more Win32 stuff.
I also know somebody who plays a DirectX 5.0 Game (Starcraft) on his
Linux box, using WINE.
