Yes, but given:

	(a) the PCMCIA code is machine-independent, and

	(b) the I/O space problem you mentioned in your previous mail

...it does actually call for a generial solution, not a couple of quick
hacks.

The general solution _also_ solves a whole slew of other problems that
we have recognized for some time.
