You mean you went through the install floppy without trouble, correct?

I'm presuming that some sort of boot block issue has occurred, or that 
you have somehow corrupted the mbr.

One thing you might want to do is try running "fdisk" from the boot
floppy and assure that you have a clean, non-corrupted mbr on the hard 
drive.
