well I gave up on trying to get netbsd running on my thinkpad 560--thanks 
to those who gave me advice and help.  it didn't like the ethernet card
(bridge chips?) at all.  And now corp MIS has upgraded our laptops
altogether.

Anyone got the thinkpad 600 running netbsd?  Or any Un*x flavor at all?
I'm getting desperate here, since using Windoze to do things like
troubleshoot network problems is a real pain.
