I have two modems connected to my NetBSD box.
tty00 has my connection to the Net.
tty01 is a dial in modem.
I am trying to send a command to my modem connected to tty01
to put it into auto-answer mode.

=46or example:

echo "ATZM1L2&D2%C1S0=3D2Q1" > /dev/tty00

doesn't seem to work. It just sits there and hangs...
I have to send the process a HUP to recover it.

I tried using a simple "chat" script to accomplish pretty much
the same thing but got the same result.
The funny thing is that this method worked just fine when I was
using Amiga NetBSD... Only recently moving to i386 have I=20
come accross this problem...

One other difference between the two is that Amiga NetBSd modems were
addressed as a "different" device - I think they included some
modem control features. ie tty00 (serial) vs ttym0 (modem) etc.

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?
