If you refer to netboot by Gero Kuhlmann, I've code to create NetBsd
boot images (you don't get the secondary bootloader console, it goes
single stage to orbit).

My current Todo list:
    clean up,
    submit to Gero,
add support for MD5 checksums and gezipped kernels.

On my spare time list,
use Gero's passthrough to packet driver for the real NetBSD netboot.

The only disadvantage is that each does 2 bootp requests, but I consider
that a non-issue.

You can get the code at your risk anyday :-))
