From what version did you upgrade?

	If its pre 1.3 you probably want to upgrade the etc package as
	well (after backing it up), though that is probably not causing
	the current problem.

	Could you try
		'ktrace ping -c1 ftp.netbsd.org'
	and then mail the output of 'kdump'?
