Has anyone tried UVM/PMAP_NEW on a 386 ?  When I tried it I got a panic
'no init' after booting. It seems to work ok with UVM and the old pmap.
Looking at the source to pmap.new.c there is a lot of special cases
for i386, I suppose they haven't been tested much.
I have UVM/OMAP new running on a pentium and a pentium pro, so this seems
to be 386 specific.
