Subject: [Q] collision rates on EtherNet cards

Below are the current stats from five i386-based systems running 1.3.1,
all on the same network (i.e. all connected via 10baseT to the same hub).

Why do I see such a variation in collision rates WRT the one 3COM card?
Is it the case that the driver is not correctly reporting them or is this
card "just so much better" than the mainly SMC based cards we're using?

Thank you for any pointers!

P.S. I feel the collision rates we are seeing is far too high, and I'm
hoping to convince the boss to buy us a switch to replace the hub we have.
