Hi everybody,

I recently switched to egcs rather than to use gcc 2.8.x on my machine
and I am quite happy about the compiler's performance and reliability.
There's only one thing that bothers me: Apparently egcs won't build
libstdc++ as shared library, what greatly increases the size of the
compiled binaries.

So I wonder whether anyone has successfully built shared versions of
the libraries and could give me a hint how this can be done.
