I decided to try booting the 1.3alpha install disk on a friend's machines
just to see how well it did. One machine did pretty badly :( (see my next
message), the other one seems to have worked fine. The modem didn't get
configured though:

not configured

BTW, it looks like NetBSD is truncating the device name... the BIOS says
the card is a:
Best Data Products Inc. Smart One 336F P
