No sooner had I mailed off saying I could not get through to ntnu.no
than I did and was able to download the new image.

Would it be possible to compile the kernel with PCMCIAVERBOSE - or
whatever the option is that causes verbose pcmcia messages.  I tried
that kernel on my notbook and as previously noted, the machine hangs
just after saying that it was using irq 5.

Thanks btw to all those that have been making snapshot's and kernels
available.
