A new i386 snapshot has been uploaded to ftp.netbsd.org.

It is named snap-970901 -- it supersedes snap-970815

It may be found in

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/i386/snap-970901/NetBSD-1.2G/

This snapshot is the first to contain ATAPI support. It is hoped that
a snapshot within a few weeks will be released with PCMCIA support.

The usual disclaimers apply. This is NOT a release. It is a
snapshot. Its intended as a tool for People Who Know What They Are Doing.
It is known that the install tools are still a bit weak.

Remember to read the README files for important information on known
bugs/problems in the snapshot and their workarounds. As just one
example, the boot floppy and GENERIC kernels have had the ep driver
compiled non-optimized to get around a bug -- if you build a new
kernel and suddenly can't get anything to work because you didn't read
the documentation, we told you so....
