Hi Folks,
I've got an old 386 I wanted to use with NetBSD. I put in the
boot floppy that I used for my newer pentium. The disk seemed to have
been read at some level as I get the netbsd.... msg. It correctly
recognized the memory as 640/3328k but as it started to boot with the
rotating star, I got:
Error C:0 H:0 S:0.
after each /, -, \, and |.
The disk/floppy controller is a combination ide/fdd/serial/parallel/game port
card. I don't know the manufacturer. I can probably add another 4Mb,
but the bios doesn't seem to understand 4Mbit chips.
The machine works fine with windows 3.1 and/or DOS.
Can someone enlighten me as to the meaning of that error message?
Is it disk or memory related?
Thanks.
