Charles ported it ot NetBSD and fixed bugs in doscmd as soon as it
became available (from BSDI), I think. You can find it at
ftp.netbsd.org in pub/NetBSD/arch/i386/doscmd. You should not
need any patches at all to the kernel to make it work.
