Yep, I should have told more in my problem report..  I simply put a new mb
in my old machine and now the old ATAPI CD-ROM _or_ the new one no longer
work.  My kernel is the same, with ATAPI support that worked just fine on
the old mb.  The new mb is an Asustek TX97-E.  I'm trying to find the problem
with help from Manual Bouyer.
